Pop Up Wok is a Hong Kong style food business based in the North East, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The carefully selected menu comprises some of the most popular and authentic food (as well as street food) in Hong Kong that is not available in the North East. A large part of our philosophy is to share the culture of Hong Kong through food and gather people from different parts of the world around the dining table and sharing their stories with us.

In Pop Up Wok, we want to bring to the customers not only the taste of Hong Kong, but also the feel at home. We are not trained chefs, which just like the one who cook for you at home, who are not trained chef as well. But they always cook you the food with their hearts. That’s why our menu is different from typical Chinese restaurants or takeaways – ours are more like simple dishes, but good enough to make you feel like you are home.
